Searchengine optimization is the term used to describe a set of processes that aim in optimizing a website for search engines. Off page SEO refers to techniques that can be used to improve the position of a web site in the search engine results page (SERPs). SEO is important not only for getting high quality visitors but it is also a way to increase the credibility of a website and to expand brand awareness. Some think Off page SEO is only huge number of link building for a website but this is not always true. In general, off Page SEO has to do with promotion methods – beyond website design –for the purpose of ranking a website higher in the search results.

As Google’s page rank (PR) largely depends on number of quality back-links so it is very important to create back-links which must be in white hat way.  There are some systematic ways of white hat link building.

Many people may say that directory submission is dead. As far as I’m concerned it is still alive. It is purely based on how effectively we are selecting those directories and how efficiently we are choosing the category for submission. Submit your websites to the topmost quality directories like DMOZ, Yahoo Directory, ZoomInfo, One Mission, Pegasus, etc. Nowadays many web directories may offer paid listings but don’t go for it.

Blog Comments:  Leaving a comment on a blog can result in a relevant do-follow link to the individual’s website. Most of the time, however, leaving a comment on a blog turns into a no-follow link, which is almost useless in the eyes of search engines, such as Google and Yahoo! Search. On the other hand, most blog comments get clicked on by the readers of the blog if the comment is well-thought-out and pertains to the discussion of the other commenter’s and the post on the blog. So, when commenting on blogs you have to be very careful on the regard of hummingbird update of Google. Make sure that your comment link is dofollow and the comments are relevant on the post.

Forum Posting:  Forum signature linking is a technique used to build backlinks to a website. This is the process of using forum communities that allow outbound hyperlinks in a member’s signature. This can be a fast method to build up inbound links to a website Search Engine Optimization value. There are two way link that you can get from a forum site:

  • Signature Link
So, forum link is a good way to be crawled in search engine.

Article Submission: An article submission is the process of creating a blog post and then sending it to an article directory website. An article directory website is where people submit articles in the hopes of being published into one of their categories. These directories can be all encompassing (every niche) or be very specific on topic. The idea behind social bookmarking is simple: post links on popular social bookmarking websites to increase your own traffic and gain an ongoing stream of new readers and customers. 

Web 2.0 Submissions:  For your business to have online presence, you have to come up with unique, relevant and original articles with fitting anchor text linking the readers back to your company’s website. Such articles are submitted with web 2.0 platform high ranking PR websites.

This method of search engine optimization is what’s referred to as Web 2.0 Submission—a very well-known internet marketing strategy that has already helped many websites in leaving their competitors behind. An RSS document includes full or summarized text, and metadata, like publishing date and author’s name.

RSS feeds enable publishers to syndicate data automatically. A standard XML file format ensures compatibility with many different machines/programs. RSS feeds also benefit users who want to receive timely updates from favorite websites or to aggregate data from many sites. RSS feed has your all website or blog posts and link to each of them. And submitting them to a website means that website will index your all blog posts of all pages of your website. And that will rapidly increase the page rank of your website.
